Nutritional labeling: Deadline set for the use of old packaging

October 2023 – Page of the Brazilian Government announcing the resolution on nutritional labeling for packaged foods dated October 9, 2023: Collegiate Board Resolution (RDC) 819/2023 of the National Health Surveillance Agency (ANVISA) under the Ministry of Public Health (MSP), which amends RDC 429/2022 specifically regarding implementation deadlines.
Products with packaging acquired before October 8 may continue to circulate without adaptations until October 9, 2024.
Food and labeling supervision is carried out in a decentralized manner by states and municipalities, which are responsible for regulating manufacturers within their respective territories.
