The IAHF participated in #BumpDay 2023 reminding everyone of the importance of maternal cardiovascular health and keeping mother and baby healthy during pregnancy. The highlight of the event was a webinar featuring Dr. Johanna Contreras (Cardiologist), Dr. Mildren del Sueldo (Cardiologist), and Dr. Fátima Estrada (Obstetrics & Gynecology). Support for the campaign was provided by a joint project between the IAHF, the American Heart Association (AHA), Go Red for Women, and the Interamerican Society of Cardiology (SIAC).
Held annually the third Wednesday in July, the goal of #BumpDay is to raise awareness about the need for equitable care for every mom, everywhere, and to urge elected representatives to take action to support safe pregnancies and healthy babies.
